5 Ways to Use Your Water Dispenser

Most people simply assume that their water dispenser has one use, and one use only, but that’s not necessarily the case. A hot and cold water dispenser can be used in a few different ways in your office or in your home. If you don’t have a water dispenser and are thinking about getting one, here are a few of the ways you can make use of it.

Get Instant Cold Water

Water from your tap may not be as cold as you’d like it to be, especially in the summer. If you live in certain areas, the drinking water may not be very good, either.

A water dispenser provides instant cold water that is fresh tasting and filtered, so you know it doesn’t contain anything you don’t want to put into your body.

Instant Hot Water Is Also Available

Some dispensers also offer hot water. While you may not want to drink hot water by itself, this is an excellent and easy way to make hot cocoa, tea, coffee, and other hot beverages.

You don’t have to wait for a kettle to heat up or do anything else—just put your cup under the hot water dispenser and hit the tab.

Mix in Your Favorite Flavors

Water dispensers are a great way of mixing in flavors. You can add flavored packets or other mix-ins so you can have these great drinks whenever you want. For large parties, you could even mix them directly into the dispenser.

You Can Use a Water Dispenser to Make Food, Too

You can actually make food from your water dispenser, too, especially if it has the hot water option. You can add hot water to packets of instant oatmeal or ramen or use it to add extra liquid to soups or stews. This filtered water can be used for anything you want to cook, including pasta and instant mashed potatoes.

While the hot water from a dispenser isn’t boiling, it can be brought to a boil in a pan on the stove. Anything that only needs hot water added to it can be made with a water dispenser!

Wash Your Hands or Dishes

If you have a water dispenser at a campsite or other location where you don’t necessarily have access to running water, you can use the water dispenser to wash your hands, do dishes, or for anything else that requires either cold or hot water.

Where Should You Use Your Water Dispenser?

Now that you have some ideas as to what you can do with your hot and cold-water dispenser, it’s time to look at where you might want one. Of course, you can have one in your home. This is a great option if you don’t have filtered water or if your refrigerator doesn’t have water spout in the door. It will help encourage you and your family to drink more water since it’s so readily available.

Having a water dispenser on hand at the office is also very helpful. Employees like having access to water, especially if they can get hot water for tea without any wait. You can also have a water dispenser in the waiting room, conference room, or other area where customers can make use of it.

Other places where water dispensers are useful is at camp, at the gym, and at parties. What’s great about them is that they’re portable, so you can take the dispenser with you. While you may need electricity if your water dispenser provides hot or chilled water, those that don’t require power can be used anywhere.
